Amber Arcades' sophomore album European Heartbreak is due to be released via Heavenly Recordings on the 28th of September. Following last month's List Pick 'Alpine Town', the Amsterdam-based outfit have shared their fourth preview of the LP, which serves as the final chapter of the band's three-part music video story. 'Where Did You Go?' has a noticeably lighter tone than 'Alpine Town' as motorik beats are met by gritty guitar bends and bouncing synthesizers. Songwriter Annelotte De Graaf explained, "This song is about the irrational nature of love. You need to keep telling yourself you believe in it in order for it to exist at all. On the other hand, maybe it’s a cool thing because of that. If it were more “real” it would just be another “thing” you can choose, like a brand of peanut butter. And I’m not so sure about whether always being able to choose all the things makes us better or happier in the end." -Holly Mullineaux
